Frank Keating, former Governor of Oklahoma, has indicated that he will not be seeking the Republican nomination for President of the United States.
According to Fox News, apparently Keating told his supporters "It's just not the right thing for me to do at this time."
Keating had spent the last month considering a run, even visiting key state South Carolina in late December.
Keating, who is 63 next month, may still have an opportunity in the future. He has not ruled out a future run for office, and he has a record of public service that is hard to beat.
